Making the Cut: Needing Motivation and Starting Again

So I've been struggling with this exercise issue lately. I know I need to do it, but I have been lacking some serious motivation as of late. I want to exercise. I want to get back into shape. I want to feel good wearing some of the older clothes I own but don't feel good in because I have them, they're in good shape, so instead of buying all new clothes (which I would love) I could wear those. (Wow, that was a long run-on sentence).

There are so many advantages to working out. You know them but here we go. You feel better. You look better. There's a lot of better to go around.

So what do I do about my motivation issue? No stinkin' idea! But I'm starting small. In fact I'm not even sure this will work but I gotta start one week at a time, right? So I made a deal with the devil - haha, just kidding - how about I made a deal with Rob instead?! So if I make it starting this Sunday to this Thursday then I got a full, awesome back rub including a foot rub. I think it's a pretty good idea. And hopefully it will give me enough to make it through my first week. And we'll go from there.

Starting Sunday, I begin another workout program. And when I say, begin I really mean start again. I decided to start Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred again. I know I had nothing good to say about it the first time. Well that's not completely true. The first time I did the 30 Day Shred, I started to see an improvement just in week one. It completely kicked my butt, but it was a good feeling all at the same time. I want to feel like that again. I want to feel more energized. I want to feel better. I want to feel strong. There are so many things that I liked when I was doing this workout program, so I want to start again. And it will kick my butt all over again and I will be cursing myself for outwardly proclaiming this to blog readers everywhere, but maybe this will be good.  Maybe this will give me more accountability. Maybe this will be a more motivating factor.

I'm still afraid that I'm going to lose motivation along the way, but it doesn't mean that I'm not going to even start. Like I said, I have to start small like with something as simple as just wanting a back rub and foot rub - don't forget about the foot rub.

So my question before I sign off is this: what is your motivation?
