Addison Sophia: 5 Months // Happy Friday

Dear Addie:

I think I say this every month, but I can't believe you are already five months. Time is really flying by. And you are changing so fast. Every day you are a different little girl. You are funny. You are unique. You are excitable. You are stubborn. You are happy. You are independent. You are so much more than I ever imagined a tiny little person could be. There is just so much life in you. So much character. So much personality.

You have been much to a lot lately. Like rolling from your tummy to your back. You have rolled a coupe times, but you have refused to do it since. You also have refused to do it for anyone or a camera. You are stubborn. I'll give you that. You have no interest in rolling again from your tummy to your back. But you are getting closer to rolling to from your back to your tummy. You actually love tummy time which is a huge change considering you use to hate tummy time.

We started cry-it-out and things have been much better around the house. Instead of taking two hours to get you down at night, it takes no time at all. Naps are a different story. You have decided you hate naps, even though you are completely exhausted. You just don't want to go down for any naps at all, but then you get so tired that you fall asleep while we are holding you. Just sleep, pretty girl. Trust me, play times will be much more fun if you are well rested. Even though nap times are often a disaster, you are at least sleeping through the night, so I'll take it!

We started you on solids. After giving you bottles all day long, you never seemed satisfied, so we decided it was time to start solids. And that we did. So far it is going well. You love yourself some rice cereal. Although you have no patience. You hate waiting for the next spoonful. We'll work on the patience. But I can't wait until you start trying more foods.

I have a feeling we will be having a lot of dance parties in our future. You love to dance with me. Actually been better you love watching me dance around like an idiot most of the time. I definitely get a good work out entertaining you and you love it!

I used to think you weren't much of a talker, but you have started doing this high-pitch squeal. And when I say high-pitch, I mean high-pitch, hurt Stella's ears kind of squeal. Your father thinks it's adorable, and yes it is but he doesn't hear it all day long! I have no idea where you learned how to do it, but you either cry or do this high-pitch squeal to communicate and some days the crying is easier on the ears.

You are just constantly changing. At your 4-month appointment last month, you were int he 92% of height - tall girl - and 65% in weight and 82% for your head. You are in 6-9 month clothes, mostly because any smaller clothes are hard to get over your head and they are all too short - you are just too long. You are gonna be tall like your mama!

You definitely fill this house with lots of laughter and happiness. You are growing up to an awesome little girl!

Love, Mama
