A Day in the Life: 39 Month Edition

I love going back and reading through these. It's amazing how much your life can change in a mater of months. Our lives are definitely about to change in a month or so, so I wanted to do one last one of these with just me and Addison before we add a little man to our typical day.

0745 -- My alarm went off. Of course I hit the snooze but I didn't really fall back asleep. I messed around on my phone until I finally got out of bed. Meanwhile Rob got up and got going for work.

0810 -- Dressed in my workout clothes and put my blog up before the kiddo wakes for the day.  I would go workout before she gets up but I have to get her to the bathroom right away and I doubt I have enough time to get very far. Plus I can't hear her very well from downstairs. So I'll wait a few minutes.

0815 -- Just like I thought - it didn't take long. Sometimes it's entertaining how I find her in the morning. I wish this threenager stage was as entertaining. Especially since I can't seem to convince her that it's time to go sit on the toilet and get breakfast. That's about as typical a morning as you can get around here - me trying to convince her to do something she doesn't want to do.

0825 -- And with that I decide that exercise isn't going to happy this morning because in an hour or so we have to leave for my OB appointment and there just isn't enough time. So while Addie continues to ignore me, I get dressed. It's turning out to be just one of those days...

0833 -- Still ignoring me so I'm going to make her breakfast and get something to eat myself because I'm pretty hungry.

0848 -- Finally decided she was ready to get going. Of course she waits until I was eating so now my cereal is going to get really mushy. Thanks kid.

0853 -- Breakfast. I have to get her going or we will never get to my appointment. Apparently she has decided that this is a slow-moving lazy Monday morning.

0903 -- Done with breakfast and on to getting dressed and brushing teeth. And I'm impressed because we even have some time to spare which I didn't think would happen with the pace she was moving.

0911 -- While we wait for time to pass for us to leave, Addie entertains herself with the baby swing we put back together yesterday. She seems partial to the music. Maybe because she heard it so much when she was a baby.

0925 -- Time for my OB appointment but of course Addie wants to take everything she can find with her. At this rate my blood pressure is going to be through the roof.

1030 -- Done with my appointment and now on to the grocery shopping. I don't really want to go shopping or be out at all but turns out my family likes it when we have food to eat. So we are off to the store. I made Addie a deal because I wanted to get the trip done quickly that she could watch Mickey Mouse on YouTube if she rode.

1112 -- Home again home again. It's stupid cold out and I'm ready to be home. We may not have done much but I'm worn out.

1127 -- I turn on Looney Tunes for her while I put groceries away.

1138 -- I make Addie's lunch and because I'm a softy I let her eat lunch while she watched Looney Tunes. Meanwhile I wait for my lunch.

1157 -- I had a craving for this pizza and it's finally ready thank goodness. I'm starving. I shouldn't go grocery shopping hungry (and pregnant) otherwise I would be eating a salad right now. (I ended up wishing I had that salad because it just wasn't that great.) Meanwhile I watched Castle on my computer with my earphones because I didn't want to watch Looney Tunes again.

Then we went lazy. I finished but Addie was still eating. Our morning wore me out because I didn't sleep well. Connor kept me up last night.

1253 -- Time to turn the TV off. I sit down in the rocking chair and do some reading while Addie plays and does her own reading.

1335 -- The best and worse part of my day: convince Addie it's nap time. I'm exhausted today and would love to take a nap too but first I have to get her to the bathroom, into a pull up, read and tucked in.

1356 -- The kid is in bed for a nap and I thought about exercising since it didn't happen earlier, but I like the idea of Funyons, Bones and my bed better. Plus my big plan to take a nap.

1703 -- The kid took a great nap which she needed but it's time to get her up if I want her to sleep tonight.

1715 -- She has decided to ignore me again and since I didn't really get a nap I don't have the patience for her. I get dinner started and decide to deal with her later. She's still in bed looking at books.

1723 -- Finally got up and went potty. I work on the final touches for dinner.

1737 -- Rob's home and dinner's ready. Yes he comes home to dinner on the table - lucky man!

1800 -- Dinner is over for Rob and me. Addie is dragging her feet eating but that's typical. We move on and she'll eat when she's ready.

1815 -- We skype with Rob's parents.

1903 -- Addie finally went down to eat while Rob worked on dishes.

1932 -- No day is complete without some rough housing with daddy. It's a good way to get out some energy.

1945 -- Time to get ready for bed for the kiddo. Although I'm thinking it doesn't sound like it's a bad idea.

2032 -- It took awhile but finally she's down! It was one of those nights after one of those days. I watch Cake Wars while Rob goes downstairs to play some computer games. We always set a time when he comes back and we spend some time together before we go to bed.

And that's our day.
