After Baby: 4 Months

"Nine Months Up, Nine Months Down" [exercise and getting my body back]
Truthfully I haven't done a great job exercising lately. It's a bit off and on but I'm feeling pretty good. My weight hasn't changed in the last month due to the lack of continued exercise but that still leaves me only about three pounds or so from my pre-pregnancy weight so no complaints there. Overall I would feel better if I did workout regularly. It's mostly just feeling uncomfortable in my own skin lately which I remember feeling for a long time after Addie was born.

Physically the worst is definitely that I'm losing my hair. With Addison and now with Connor it has been around four months that I started just losing hair by the handfuls. It's terrible and there is hair everywhere. I really hate this stage because you think everything is back to normal then you start losing your hair in clumps. I hope this passes soon.

Sleep? Who Needs Sleep?
Connor started sleeping through the night and I started to feel normal again then apparently we got too used to that and moved him to his own room and I started sleeping terribly. He was sleeping just fine but I was sleeping horribly thanks to his fan picking up over monitor. I was sleeping poorly and waking up with awful headaches. We have moved the monitor to Rob's side and I started sleeping better again. I'm still pretty tired but it's getting better again.

"Baby Blues" and All those Pesky Hormones
It really has made a big difference being back on birth control. I feel better with my PCOS symptoms back under control again. I still have some highly emotional days but that's to be expected with a 3 year old and baby in the house. Connor has his days when he fusses and cries all day long and I feel like I'm losing my mind. Addie has his days that she complains to me all day and it grinds on my nerves. But most of the time things are good and I feel more level-headed and much more like I'm slowly finding my rhythm.

xo, B
