Two Ladies & Their Gents: Winter 2017

*I know it's March and not many of that would say March is still winter but it's not quite officially spring yet (plus it snowed a couple days ago) so I can just sneak in this life update.

Rob

This man has been working his tail off these days. Still not drilling with the Marines which has definitely been nice considering all we have going on these days. But he's been all kinds of busy with Garmin. They are busy working on some new stuff for Garmin and new for them trying to figure out how to actually do what they need to do. On top of that he's busy taking kids for me while I'm at PT and rehabbing. Basically he's keeping us all together.

Becca

The biggest thing for me is still rehabbing. It feels endless but I am now 3 months post surgery. I am still going to PT, although only now once a week and about to have another evaluation in about two weeks. Even after I'm discharged I still have a lot of at home rehab to go - 6 months is full recovery and I had a really slow start so it might take me longer. But that's what I'm up to. I've been doing some major deep cleaning around this house including moving furniture to clean and wiping down ALL toys because we just haven't been able to shake sickness lately. The shop is doing well - just one sale shy of 100 sales which is pretty exciting for me. It has slowed way down but I expected that and has actually been okay since I have had sick kids who have taken all my time and energy.

Addison

This has been one of my sick kids. She just keep getting one thing after another. Her biggest thing recently has been pink eye. That has been an awful experience and we are still doing eye drops. If we could have stuck with the first eye drops they gave her she would be done but they made her eyes swell so we had to switch to something not as strong so she has to have them longer. But she's been a trooper and doing well. She also had a killer fever for a couple days and she just wasn't acting like herself. But finally she is feeling better although she is still coughing at night a lot. Despite all the sickness, she is normally well enough to make it to school and she is still loving it. There will be an update coming with all kinds of details but she is excelling and every ahead in some areas. She is just doing awesome.

Connor

This little boy keeps me on my toes. He is into everything. He is curious about everything and doesn't really like the word no. He's in the middle of a Wonder Week and last week was definitely not feeling good, so we have had a bit of a rough couple of weeks. But he seems to be back to normal too - although he is still going through a Wonder Week. He's scooting around furniture like a pro and is getting better at balancing without holding on. We are definitely not seeing the gross motor delay that we saw in Addie at this same age. He is itching to walk and as soon as he calms down (he's just so excited) and stops leaning so far forward, he'll be off. I just wish he could figure out how to go down the stairs because my daredevil makes me nervous. All around he's doing well and progressing beautifully.

Stella

Stella is currently on thin ice with me because she full on bit me in the shoulder the other day. And for the record I didn't do anything to bother her. I was doing my PT and I think she was trying to play or something and just bit me. Yeah not so happy with her. But otherwise she's fine. Just being grumpy these days. Must be her diet or middle/old age. Or maybe she hates all the noise in the house.
