Four on the Fourth

1. I have become obsessed with Buzzfeed Unsolved on Youtube. The cases are interesting - including the supernatural ones and that's not exactly stuff I personally believe in - and the guys are hilarious. I look forward to every new video!

2. A couple weeks ago when we went to the grocery store, checkout turned into chaos. Connor was trying to throw himself out the cart while I was bagging groceries so he was out of the cart and walking. Addie was trying to put things into her own bags. Connor who was out and about had walked out to check out a cooler of ice cream so I had to go chasing after him while still trying to check out. I finally got it all paid and done. It wasn't until I got home and a few days later that I was driving it dawned on me that I had no idea what I did with the ground beef. I hoped I had put it in the freezer and just didn't remember, but once I got home and I discovered no dice. I figured out then that I had left the ground beef in a bag at the grocery store. Sad.

3. I have been watching a lot of HGTV lately and have decided we would have been perfect for Love It or List It. If you don't know the show the premise is that one person wants to stay in the house and just fix it and one wants to move. Then one of the hosts does a redo on the current house while the other takes them around to find a new house. Then they decide if they are going to list their current house or stay and love it. Rob liked our old house and I hated it (although hate is a strong word - I seriously disliked it) and I couldn't imagine it ever really working for our family as we grew. (I had serious buyers remorse right after we made the offer but I was pregnant with Addison and thought maybe I was just being hormonal....nope!) But no matter what could be done to that house it was never going to work for us.

Luckily we both walked into this house and we both instantly loved it. The hubs who doesn't put much stock in emotional decisions even said that this house just felt like home when you walked in. And now that we are two months in, we are still loving it. The kids love it and it is the perfect house for our family. I miss our old neighborhood honestly but the house is perfect. We definitely would have listed it.

4. I learned recently that people tend to walk in circles when they are lost because we tend to go toward our dominant side. So in my case I would head to my right and walk in a big circle to my right. In Rob's case he would walk to his left and walk in a big circle. So we decided that if we are ever lost he will walk on my right side to keep me walking straight and I on his left so he keeps walking straight. So we might be lost, but we will be together and walking in a straight line. So at least we would have that going for us.
